Apex Products Corp.

The more familiar variety of Apex pencils are the "Magic Multiplying Pencil" such as shown on the bottom.  They have painted wood barrels, come in a variety of colors, and the amber plastic section turns to operate a simple multiplying table. 
However, the Multiplying pencil was not the company's only claim to fame.  The upper example is a celluloid "Magic Contract Scoring Pencil" with a scoring table for bid euchre.  It states "Contract rules as revised April 1, 1935," giving a clue as to when these were made.
