Clearing a Lead Jam

When a mechanical pencil isn't working, more often than not the problem is a lead jam - a piece of lead either wedged in where it shouldn't be or an old lead that has swollen up with humidity and is now gumming up the works.  Most of the time, all it takes is a bit of patience, a paper clip and a small drill bit to get them working again.  This video shows how:
