Also offered as our "Exotica .040," these unwaxed leads are comparable to English Victorian size "M."


Since tolerances on early Victorians varied widely, these leads will fit some pencils perfectly and will be slightly loose in others. To compensate for leads which fit a bit loose, you can gently crimp the tip of your pencil (with the lead in it) in order to assure a proper fit or dip a stick in melted candle wax to fur it out slightly.
