The Model 3 Series is for those who prefer a slimmer pencil, approximately the girth of a regular wood pencil but equipped with the classic Autopoint-style mechanism. Each pencil is fitted with a Pentel PDE-1 eraser (available on our website) and loaded with one of our 1.1mm/.046" "Wet Noodles" leads.
The checkerboard pattern on the Model 33 was implemented by various American manufacturers at the beginning of the last century.
